Testing Information
The Galileo test referenced on this assessment calendar: this is a district test, which is taken in one session, and can show them how much they’ve grown from throughout the year. The time slots here are “windows” for the whole school to finish, math and language arts.
We recognize that an achievement test result is one point in time, and as such, needs to be considered with a full body of student work including authentic in-class assignments and growth. A test result does not tell us everything, and therefore we do not believe students should feel the pressure that everything rides on the test. It’s just one piece of information.
